Is President Obama Afraid of Wall Street?
On Sunday’s Meet the Press New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said that “we need to stop demonizing Wall Street and all work together for the good of the country.” At least he got one part right. Because if Wall Street has been demonized, it’s safe to say the Pope’s favorite number is 666. There’s been a lot of talk in President Obama's administration, but very little action when it comes to Wall Street and their antics, which were partly responsible for the home foreclosure crisis and completely responsible for the risky investments that led to billion dollar bailouts shortly thereafter. It’s past time for President Obama to get aggressive.

Cenk Uygur: President Obama ‘Doesn’t Have The Guts’ To Fight For Contraceptive Mandate
On Tuesday night's The Young Turks, host Cenk Uygur went the eff off on President Obama over what he sees as administration signals of a compromise on the religious employer exemption to the Affordable Care Act's Preventive Services Mandate. Loudly calling it like he sees it, Uygur said that President Obama "doesn't have the guts" to fight conservatives on the issue, and that "his natural instinct" to "run for the hills" kicks in whenever he's challenged a little bit.

The Tongan Olympic Luger Who Turned Out To Be An Underwear Marketing Scam [Luge]
Imagine if the events surrounding 1988 Jamaican bobsled team that inspired the film Cool Runnings happened today, in the age of the internet and 24-hour sports coverage. Now imagine one of those athletes, by pure chance, had been named Calvin Klein. And after his emergence on the international scene, he became a spokesman for the manufacturer—the perfect convergence of media hype and corporate synergy. More »

With Adele’s 21 in the peak position on Billboard’s Top 200 for a 19th non-consecutive week, the album is just seven days shy of tying the 20-week run at #1 by the soundtrack to 1992 film The Bodyguard — i.e. the most recent album to have a lengthier run atop the chart. 21 sold another ... More »

White Lettered Tires: Yay or Nay?
Back in the 1970′s I truly believed that white lettered tires made a car go faster. Granted I was a kid, but that didn’t stop me from visualizing everything from Ferrari’s to Firebird’s with those raised letters. Back them everything from Nascar to Formula 1 ran them and man-o-man did that leave an impression on [...]

First Full Teaser Trailer for 'The Bourne Legacy' with Jeremy Renner
There was never just one... Universal has unveiled the first official teaser trailer via Apple for Tony Gilroy's The Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner as the new superspy we're following, named Aaron Cross. This is a true teaser (and I love the poster), but I like how sneaky it is, all the mystery, and how it doesn't show too much. The cast includes Rachel Weisz, Edward Norton, Stacy Keach and Oscar Isaac, as well as Albert Finney, Joan Allen, David Strathairn and Scott Glenn returning to their original roles. I'm a fan of Gilroy so I like the way this looks, but I'm still not sure about picking up after Matt Damon. Enjoy! Watch the first teaser trailer for Tony Gilroy's The Bourne Legacy, in HD via Apple: You can also download the first Bourne Legacy trailer in High Definition from Apple Introduces us to a new hero whose life-or-death stakes were triggered ...

School Gives 13-Year-Old Girls Birth Control Implants; Parents Apoplectic [Birth Control]
A UK government program that allows teenager girls to receive birth control implants at school without their parents' knowledge and consent has some parents outraged. Government officials say it's an effective way to combat teen pregnancy. Parents say it's a complete violation of their rights as parents. Morality-minded individuals are concerned that this will result in rampant sluttiness. Teenage girls sit sullenly texting and rolling their eyes. It's a tense situation all around. More »
