Lara Stone Gets Hot And Heavy With Some Babes For The CK One Shock Ad
Calvin Klein's infamous CK One scent is back, this time starring a new cast of hottie musicians and the one and only Lara Stone. But unlike the iconic unisex spritzer, the brand's newest endeavor, CK One Shock, sports a men's and women's scent. Fittingly, the super-intense campaign is centered around Ms. Stone getting her CK on with a bunch of boys and girls, like DJ Alice Dellal, Sky Ferreira, Ruby Aldridge, supermodel Wang Xiao, model Herieth Paul, boxing champion Robert Evans, model Aaron Frew, model/rapper Yuri Pleskun, musician Ian Mellencamp, artist Viggo Jonasson, and singer Tomo Aki Kurata...whew! The list goes on and on. Steamy, but from the looks of it, we're guessing you can only wear CK One Shock at a rave circa '96 in New York?
If The World Lived Like New Yorkers, We'd All Fit In Texas
Last week, we saw a map of America according to New Yorkers, and now Gothamist is bringing us another graphic concerning our fair city. Density blog Per Square Mile has created a rendering of how much space the world's staggering 6.9 billon people would need if it were as dense as certain cities. If everyone lived like Big Apple citizens, Earth could fit into the state of Texas. Cramped Paris, on the other hand, would only need an area the size of Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississipi, while space-drunk Houston requires almost all of the Midwest, Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, and Southwest. Feeling squished yet?
As Internet folk, we know what it's like to spend most of your waking hours looking at very, very pretty things. You develop serious material obsessions that change as quickly as your Facebook status, and you can't wait to share your finds with the rest of the e-community. Since we're not alone in our lust-chasing, we've turned to our favorite bloggers to share with us their obsessions du jour. First up, Jane Aldridge of Sea Of Shoes, who's let us know what five things she's most into right now. Her High-5, ahead!

hessnatur by Eviana Hartman Is Gorgeously Green For Fall 2011
hessnatur has teamed up with one of our favorite, always eco-conscous designers, Eviana Hartman, best known for her signature line Bodkin. In its third season, hessnatur by Eviana Hartman is providing the relaxed-yet-luxurious knits and fabrics that can suddenly have you wishing for the return of chilly weather (seriously). Looking at the hessnatur fall 2011 lookbook makes us feel warm and toasty imaging the ease of slinky knit dresses, comfy virgin wool, cashmere, and alpaca sweaters, and silk maxi-skirts, all in a mixture of neutral hues. However, it's hessnatur's continued dedication to environmental responsibility, sustainability, and overall eco-ethics that we admire most about the line. Using organic materials and produced in a healthy, fair environment, the results of the hessnatur by Eviana Hartman collection proves to be beautiful in more ways than one.
David Beckham's Line of Underwear Sold Exclusively At H&M
We want David Beckham's underwear! Um, let us rephrase that. We're excited to see the soccer star's exclusive H&M line of underwear and T-shirts he will be debuting around in February 2012. The DAVID BECKHAM Bodywear line marks another stellar collaboration for the worldwide retailer, following in the footsteps of last year's much-anticipated Lanvin partnership. Beckham says that his former gig as the face (and body) of Emperio Armani underwear taught him that "there is a real market for good-looking, well-made men's bodywear." Meanwhile, the Italian fashion line turned over nearly double in profit. As a part of a long-term partnership, the first Beckham-designed line will be sold exclusively at H&M. If the past is any indication, DAVID BECKHAM Bodywear may give all other men's underwear a run for their money. (The Daily Telegraph)
Forget Cabs, New York Fashion Week Will Have Designer Bikes You Can Borrow
Here's another bike story for today for all you peddle heads. WWD reports that New York Fashion is getting a lot more carbon conscious thanks to The Fashion Center Business Improvement District's new bike initiative. The BID tapped designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Isaac Mizrahi, and Rebecca Taylor to put their sartorial spin on a clutch of Bowery Lane Bicycles that will be free to borrow in the Garment District during NYFW. But, for all you street thieves, don't think you can bring these babies to Tokio 7 anytime soon: To get your Garance Doré on, be prepared to swipe your plastic—you'll be charged a fee if the velocipede gets vandalized.
According to a soon-to-be-published AskMen.com factsheet, 64% of men polled in the world don't own a single suit. Our minds are spinning with all sorts of questions—what do all of these suitless men wear to job interviews? Do all the weddings or funerals they attend involve keg stands? Is this suitlessness a reflection of current unemployment around the world? Surely you can't wear a polo shirt and a pair of khakis to everything, can you? We ask you, dear suitless male readers (if you are indeed out there), how do you get around this black hole? For more "WTF, really?" facts, The Great Male Survey launches on AskMen.com tomorrow.

Interior Design Star Kelly Wearstler's New Collection Is As Covetable As Her Casas
If you’re anything like us, you’ve spent many Saturday afternoons drooling at interior
design star Kelly Wearstler’s line of furnishing gems (and literal gems) on the seventh floor of Bergdorf
Goodman, before or after tucking in at BG, the department store's haute-canteen that Wearstler also decorated. While getting Wearstler to work her visionary magic in our apartments may
be a long shot, we’ll gladly settle for donning her deft mix of vintage, mod, and glamour
where everyone can see—on our backs. Judging from her print-heavy, laid-back luxe resort '12 collection, Wearstler’s transition from in-demand interior designer
to fashion designer is a seamless one. Unlike her pricey home
pieces, her line of swoon-worthy bleach stripped shirtdresses, sweet ruffled
ombré silk blouses, and easy breezy maxi frocks isn't astronomical (T-shirts start at $58, dresses average $450), and are
perfect for round-the-clock cool. And like any good haus guru, she’s got us
covered when it comes to adding those stellar decorative touches to brilliantly embellish
a look with some glittery stoned cuffs and link necklaces. We guarantee your
crib will be so jealous when these pieces hit KW’s site in August!

Who she is: Moriah Where we spotted her: Downtown, near a soon-to-be shuttered Borders store. Shame. Why we love her: Moriah's fresh look screams summer. Floral shorts that hit high on the waist and a crisp white T-shirt mean that she looks cool (and is cool) in the city's summer heat. Mega bonus points for that too-cute camera bag—we're about to scour eBay for one of our own. Any other bidders?
With our school days behind us, we can't help but get a little back-to-school envy around this time of year. No more first-day-of-school outfits, no more fresh batches of No. 2 pencils, and the lack of Trapper Keepers in our life is getting depressing. But yesterday, we got to meet the lady who helped us relive some sweet childhood memories: Yuko Shimizu, the creator of Hello Kitty. The Japanese designer, who was about as precious as the cartoon itself, is introducing Rebecca Bonbon, her latest canine creation debuting in KMart stores across the country. Rebecca is the chicest Parisien-pooch-turned-NYC local with an apartment overlooking Central Park (can you pay rent in bones?), and loves to shop and nibble on treats (bonbons, we're sure). We chatted with Shimizu about the French bulldog who has expensive taste and apparently, plays well with the kitties.
Tell me about Rebecca Bonbon, how did the idea come about?
"I saw a French magazine with a picture of a dog, and it had the two-toned color. It was very cute. And I have a cat that has the two-toned color, too. They're very similar. I had the idea, and that's how I created Rebecca Bonbon."
Hello Kitty has 36 years on Rebecca Bonbon, do you image that they're good friends?
"Because of the difference in age, they can't be sisters, but this new character is a baby to me, so I would say they were."
What does it mean now that Rebecca Bonbon could be a fashion symbol?
"Well, she is a fashionable young baby, but eventually she would like to create her own brand. She knows what she's doing."
In that case, I'd like some advice from Rebecca Bonbon. What are her must-have items.?
"I would like Rebecca Bonbon to wear shiny things, and she enjoys all kinds of refined accessories."
Being a French bulldog, does she have any favorite French designers?
"Chanel."
Even though she's a baby, bulldogs have wrinkles. What does she do to take care of her skin?
"I would like Rebecca Bonbon to dream always, to keep her youth."
Now that you're in New York City, what's your favorite place to bring Rebecca Bonbon?
"I would like to introduce Rebecca Bonbon throughout the world. I want Rebecca Bonbon to be happy and as a result, that brings joy to me."
Get Schooled On Dorm-Room Style Inspired By Real College Students
A dorm room is yours (finally, all yours!) to decorate; whether it be to promote the appeal of an unmade bed or transform into your own study sanctuary, there can be some major hurdles to jump. However, we have sought out the help of the coolest co-eds we know, and rooms they call their own. In order to help make your dorm room a design dream, we’re providing you with weekly inspiration from their personal rooms where they study, chill, and sleep (as long as they're not pulling an all-nighter). Take notes from their homey aesthetics to help inspire your own room.
Isabelle McNally, daughter of the dude behind famously delicious Pastis and Balthazar restaurants in New York City, is a young socialite and aspiring actress whose home was captured by photographer Todd Selby. We love her room because it has the carefree vibe of a young fun soul, meshed with the fabrics and patterns of antique refinery. The decorative touches are subtle and unexpected, overall creating a cool room to covet.
American Apparel Joins eBay For Exclusive Online Shop!
As if the American Apparel stores on every corner aren’t enough, you’ll be able to find any basic you’ll ever need with the launch of eBay and American Apparel’s first online designer lifestyle shop launching this September. American Apparel CEO Dov Charney explained that there are more than 30,000 searches for the brand on eBay now, so this will be the perfect opportunity to combine the brands and create new revenue channels. (And let’s be real, every retailer needs that in this economy.) The interactive shop will allow you to browse as if you’re in an American Apparel boutique with the company’s signature photography and L.A.-inspired aesthetic (which will hopefully include exuberant amounts of neon), and will ship all orders from the American Apparel sweatshop-free warehouse in Los Angeles to ensure quality. Looks like we won’t have to work up a sweat to find that perfect jersey tee in pink and fuchsia we can’t find anywhere else. Thank you, eBay. Thank you, American Apparel.
Warby Parker's $95 Sunnies Are Now Roosting At Brooklyn's Bird
Not too long ago we wrote about Warby Parker's sunglasses for Invisible Children and how we were all atwitter with anticipation over their full-scale sunglasses launch. Well, the shades finally dropped last month and we basically want every pair in every color. Although the sunglasses are currently only available with non-perscription lenses for the sweet, sweet price of $95, Rx lenses are coming in a few months for those of us with less than hawk-like vision. We're also excited to learn that our favorite boutique Bird is now hosting a Warby Parker shop, complete with the brand's full optical and sunglasses lines. In case you haven't seen the new shadesters yet, click through our slideshow and start picking out which frames you can't live with out. And don't worry if it's all of them—we couldn't decide, either.

Is The Bed-Bug Epidemic Over? 10 Icky Facts About NYC's Least-Favorite Tourists
We all remember the bed-bug epidemic of summer 2010. The constant commercials on television, the fear of public places, bugs in Bloomingdales...BLOOMINGDALES! Was nowhere safe? Was nothing sacred What was the modern Manhattan dweller to do? The answer seemed obvious to most; stop shaking hands, skip the theater for Netflix, and buy your clothes online. There must be some sort of Freaokonmics-style connection between the surge of online retailers and the subconscious consumer fear of coming home with the human version of fleas. But just when we thought we would have to live in hermetically sealed apartments and burn all of our belongings, the invasion stopped. Again, we were free to venture into a multiplex, or try on a sweater at the Gap without fear, as our forefathers intended. We were safe...or were we?
A highly versatile blank canvas, a shirtdress can take you from day to night and back. First gaining popularity in the '40s, this is a piece that should exist, in some incarnation, in the wardrobes of every style-conscious woman in 2011. I recommend the shirtdress to a lot of my Haute Closet clients, be it a specimen by The Row, as shown here, or something from American Apparel, DVF, vintage, or better. It can be forgiving, always feminine, and tough enough to stand up in a boardroom. Buying a well-made, high-quality basic like this one will prove its worth in no time. When I walked into Chalk and saw this piece from The Row’s Pre-Fall 2011 Collection, it was a gift for our collective all-season wardrobe and a god-send in the realm of basics. With its slightly flared skirt and exquisite tailoring, the garment has a delicious bit of stretch and a barely there sheen allowing it to transform seamlessly into the closets and onto the bodies of very different women.
If you're anything like us, then you just simply can't get enough home porn. Thankfully there are lots and lots of new online magazines to satiate that hunger, one of which is the S.F.-based Rue Magazine. The super-cute digital glossy is about to debut its July/August issue any hour now and, lucky for us (and you!), we've got a sneak preview of one of the adorable stories from the new Travel & Adventure-themed issue. The uber-West Coast-y fashion spread was shot by Lou Mora at the Chateau Marmont (in James Dean's former fave bungalow, in fact!) and was inspired by the sensuality of French New Wave cinema. Check it out after the jump, let us know what you think in the comments below, and head over to ruemag.com for the rest.

Neon Fever: Bikinis, Bags, Dresses, And More That Pop
Get out your glow-stick and unpack that Trapper Keeper, because we're going back to the '90s, without a Scrunchie, thank you very much! It seems like everywhere we look a bright, fluorescent flash of neon is distracting our field of vision—and for now, that's a good thing (until the bold hues go the way of studs). If you're not yet visible in the dark, electrify your closet with pops of red, blue, yellow—yeah, yeah, you've seen a color wheel before. Bikinis, bags, heels, we've got 'em all in our not-so-shy shopping guide. Whether or not you go all-out and create an Ace of Base playlist for your browsing pleasure is entirely up to you.

With not a burp rag or flimsy onesie in sight, ABC News took a peak inside the closet of Rachel Zoe and her four-month-old baby boy, Skylar. Let's just say it wasn't in Mama Zoe's closet that they found custom-made Missoni sweaters or a sea of luxe footwear. Not that we would expect much less from the celeb stylist, but this little tyke may be literately the best-dressed baby in L.A. Check out the tour of Skylar Morrison Berman's "little paradise," complete with a huge walk-in closet and a peek at his very own buttery leather Gucci bomber jacket. "Isn't it everything?" Zoe asked. Yep, that's looks like just about everything to us. (ABC News)
When did this happen? We feel like only yesterday we were flipping through the virtual pages of one of our favorite style blogs, catching glimpses of Tavi Gevinson in cute cardigans and glasses. Now, we take one spin around a music festival and the girl has turned into a young lady, and a beautiful one at that. Is this okay? We feel like you're not allowed to turn into a total babe without some sort of approval and hall pass. Sigh. Here's lookin' at you, kid. (Tres Awesome)
It's T-Shirt Time! 10 Rad Tees For A Casual-Cool Summer

Paz de la Huerta Treats NYC Courthouse Like Her Boudoir
Indie darling and Boardwalk Empire bad-girl flapper, Paz de la Huerta, ever the source of totally insane news, made quite a scene in court recently when she lotioned every inch (and there are a lot of inches) of her legs right smack in front of the judge. She was just stopping by, you know, to plead guilty after a drunken altercation with socialite Samantha Swetra earlier this year, but her main priority seemed to be lubing up her leggies, and apparently the judge didn't mind, either, since she only got community service and alcohol counseling. Guess it pays to be pretty...like we didn't know that already! We're not sure whether to congratulate this loony toon on her light sentence, or scold her for treating the justice system like a day at the spa. What do you think: Lubing up in court, o-kay or no-kay? (Page Six)

Katy Perry Channels Smurfette With Blond Hair and Crazy Crystal Dress
Katy Perry usually pulls off the outrageous, so it's no surprise that the pop singer showed up to the Smurfs premiere in a white, bright, bedazzled Smurfette dress. This is Katy’s first red-carpet appearance for a movie she stars in (as the voice of the lone female Smurf, Smurfette), so she had to turn up the drama quotient by dying her hair to match her character's signature blonde locks. While we don’t recommend you follow her fashion choices for the premiere, we do like her cheeky blue pumps and think that she pulls of the blonde ‘do well. But you tell us, do you think her blonde job is smurf-tastic or a smurfwreck? (Crushable) (Crushable)

Though the dumb feather extension remains, we recently discovered a truly interesting fact: Ke$ha is pretty! Typically, we only see her covered in the trappings of a swamp troll, but this photo proves that she is both pretty and knows how to take a shower. This is the most shocking makeover we've seen since Link in Encino Man. We are now inspired to play her music for the rest of the day. Or maybe just the rest of the morning. (MTV Buzzworthy)
Louise Gray Gets Crafty with Her Kid-Friendly New Jewelry Line for ASOS

Retailing from $60 to $295, let your inner-child go gaga and snap these up online at ASOS before they're a thing of the past.
Sex And The City Rumors: Blake, Selena, Emma, And....Elizabeth Olsen!
So, this could go either way, but we're hoping there's a grain of truth in today's lastest Sex and the City prequel movie rumors. Sure, Selena Gomez has nixed being the next Charlotte York, and Blake Lively's publicists are saying she won't be playing Carrie or Samantha. But denials be damned: Today, The Daily Mail (so take it with a grain of salt) is reporting that the prequel is happening, and the top-billing will go to some of Tinseltown's hottest young actresses. The movie will apparently be based on Bushnell's two books, The Carrie Diaries and Summer And The City, which chronicle the SATC gang in their teens and 20s. The supposed lineup: Blake Lively as Samantha Jones, Selena Gomez as Charlotte, Emma Roberts as Miranda, and, amazingly, Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie. While this is pretty much guaranteed idle speculation, remember that The Hobbit is filming right now. Booyah.
Hair Stalking: Mega-Inspiring Styles From Real Girls
We spend hours, if not days, obsessing over our hair. How such strong attachments form to our follicles is a great mystery, but one we're totally giving in to. If you've ever felt that choosing a style, taking care of your tresses, and actually doing your 'do is basically a new form of cardio, we get you. All that effort can create exhaustion, or sometimes (gasp) indifference. You can't slack on hooking up your locks, you love 'em too much. Allow us to re-rev your engines with hot, easy-to-do hairstyles we spotted on the streets of Chicago. Click through to check out what real girls are sporting on local streets. They're totally willing to give you a lesson—Lord knows we picked up a few, too.
Watch This Awesome Dude Dance On Subway Bench To Street Performer's Music
Man, we love a good NYC subway video. And this one doesn't involve rats. Instead, our co-founder, Philippe von Borries, en route home to Brooklyn, spotted a scene that could only happen in NYC. Which, really, is the beauty of this city: At any given moment, anything can happen, including the below vid, where this charming man (who looks just like Super Mario, non?), decides to throw an impromptu dance party to the sweet beats of an underground street performer. Mario substitutes a Lavo tabletop for a subway bench, but we bet his moves are more serious than the clubby brunch spot has ever seen. Watch below for 30 solid seconds of pure NYC joy.
For some of us, it's become a regular ritual: Once a week, we sit down with a tall Pilsner and our line-up of polishes, and get our nails in tip-top shape (literally). Whatever the effect, shade, or art du jour, our nails reflect our ever-changing tastes, preferences, and obsessions. We're in good company, too, with tons of our friends, acquaintances, and random bump-ins sporting some pretty pro-manicures themselves. Clueless as to what you'll paint on your digits this week? Click through our slideshow for some very pretty paint jobs, indeed.

A Local It Girl Shows Us Her Over-The-Top Oakland Pad
While S.F. has its share of PYTs, one of the coolest is definitely Rebecca Goldschmidt, the artsy lady behind the super-fun blog and e-shop Big Things. To see if her pad was anywhere near as cool as her digital venture and the art events she curates around town, we headed out to her West Oakland abode to get a peek. And, boy, were we blown away by a space that can be best described as a treehouse-like structure for adults crossed with a killer party crib. Scope Goldschmidt’s enviable and super-creative digs, and meet this inspiring girl next door in the pics that follow!
The sprawling and artistic living room.
We know you split your time between two "dream jobs." Tell us about the first one.
"Half of my time is spent on my art/culture blog Big Things and online store, the Big Things Shop, which sells jewelry, housewares, and other objects made by friends, small designers, or just things that I've collected while traveling. We've been having a lot of events lately, too—pop-up shops, parties, workshops. I'll even be in Portland this weekend for a Lemonade Stand with some friends and artists up there! I love learning and sharing all kinds of discoveries, be it through words or images, objects, or experiences, so it's been awesome to be able to do that for a quickly expanding audience. I'm excited to plan some more fun stuff in the fall."
Rebecca, in a Food With Faces top (her roommates' label), American Apparel skirt from Goodwill, and loafers from the dearly departed Anica boutique, lounges in her favorite room—the kitchen!
And what's the second half of your gig?
"The other half of my time is spent at Metier, a women's clothing and jewelry boutique in Union Square. I'm the photographer and stylist for our blog and our soon-to-be-launched e-commerce site. There are so many amazing aspects of my job, including first dibs on coveted collections like Isabel Marant and Rag & Bone, feeling the hustle of downtown S.F., and shooting pretty clothes on pretty girls. But most of all, the Metier team is a real family! We have all worked together for years, seen weddings, breakups, and now lots of babies! We eat tons of snacks and groove to good music while trying on awesome outfits and deciding what looks best. It can't really get more perfect than that."

Rachel Zoe's New Baby Is...A Lipstick Line! (And She Gives Us Tips)
Add lipstick to the long list of wares that superstylist Rachel Zoe has sprinkled her style-savvy pixie dust on as of late; the ubiquitous blonde who has recently partnered with giants like Judith Leiber and QVC is now basking in the spotlight as brand ambassador of new lipstick brand Exude. But this isn’t your mama’s lipstick. A clear, crystal applicator bullet shakes things up by releasing a single-dot serving of elastic gel color with just a twist of the tube. This cleverly ensures that your lipstick won’t wear down into some strange, shapeless mound, and that the surface will stay crisp.
Cosmetic industry veterans Diane Breidenbach and Laurence Mille created the technology behind the shimmery, nine-shade line. Yet it was Zoe who styled the crisp, white tube packaging, which she says is a design strategy she uses for interior decorating, too. “Most of my house is modern and white inside, with splashes of accent colors that catch your eye. You can’t go wrong with that formula,” Zoe told us at the collection's launch. What's her trick for choosing a lipstick shade? “Contrast your lip color with whatever you’re wearing. Do a pale lip with a deep dress, or go bold when you’re wearing light colors,” she instructs. “And don’t do a red lip with a red dress, it clashes. Plus, you don’t ever want to be predictable.” Zoe has spoken.
Exude Lipstick, $29, available in August at Exude Lipstick.
Coach's Newest Offerings Are The Epitome Of Old-School Anti-Glam
You know how the best accessories are sometimes the ones completely void of "style?" Without the bells and whistles, solidly structural style (the kind that launches brands into Chanel 2.55 megafame) can shine through. We love vintage Coach for their complete lack of fuss, and these new "Coach Classics" really honor the brand's pared-down past. The bags will launch on Wednesday on Coach.com in a variety of colors, so you can still add a touch of personalization to this anti It Bag.
What We're Wearing: Julia's "Not Quite So Corporate" Corporate Look
Julia Anderson, Senior Marketing Manager
What I'm Wearing: "I had a few client meetings today, so this is my 'Try To Look Corporate But Not So Corporate' look. My dress is H&M and the vest is Urban Outfitters (yes, I wear pleather in the middle of summer). These all-black, pony-hair wedges from OAK are the best for running around town, and also give me a few much-needed extra inches. My bag is Alex Wang and the sunnies are Ray Ban."
Next Purchase I'm Saving Up For: "A vacation somewhere abroad! I'm thinking maybe Japan sometime in the fall or perhaps Peru…I really want to climb Machu Picchu!"
What I Had For Breakfast: "Iced coffee from Dunkin Donuts."
What's On My Summer To-Do List: "Surfing! I've been going every Saturday with friends for the past few weeks and am committed to getting comfortable standing on a longboard by the end of the summer."
