FAIRFAX, Va. - And the legend of "The Korean Zombie" grows yet again.

Despite entering Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 headliner as a huge underdog to Dustin Poirier, Chan Sung Jung earned a thrilling fourth-round submission win in a bout that may very well find its way on to a few "Fight of the Year" candidate lists seven months from now.

The bout served as the main event of Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 event, which took place at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va.

UFC on FUEL TV 3's Jung 'definitely made a statement' for UFC title hopes
FAIRFAX, Va. - Whether Chan Sung "The Korean Zombie" Jung will fight next for a belt remains to be seen, but he believes he's made the best case possible.

"I think that I definitely made a statement about being able to go into the title match this year," Jung said after beating featherweight Dustin Poirier on Tuesday. "Honestly, if the fight had gone to a decision, I probably wouldn't have been saying that as definitively.

"But I think I made the statement."

UFC on FUEL TV 3 results: Amir Sadollah edges Jorge Lopez in lackluster affair
FAIRFAX, Va. - It wasn't exactly earned in impressive fashion, but Amir Sadollah's homecoming was a success.

Fighting just a few hours from his hometown, Sadollah earned a razor-thin split decision over Jorge Lopez at Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 event at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va.

The bout was the fifth of six FUEL TV-broadcast main card contests and followed the evening's Facebook streamed preliminary bouts.

Reinvented Cody McKenzie credits gray hair, Diaz brothers for UFC on FUEL TV 3 win
FAIRFAX, Va. - With Cody McKenzie, the guillotine remains the same, even as everything else changes.

McKenzie said gray hair and a couple losses left him looking for a way to reinvent himself and his game. Enter a good razor blade, as well as a visit to Stockton, Calif., for the help of the infamous Diaz brothers.

It all paid off for McKenzie, who earned a much-needed submission win.

After another 'Fight Night' bonus, UFC on FUEL TV 3's Lawlor looking for easier fights
FAIRFAX, Va. - Tom Lawlor may have joked after his win Tuesday night that Virginia is merely one of his top 50 states in which to fight, but he knows the state has been very kind to him.

"I'll fight in Virginia every time," Lawlor said. "I got 'Fight of the Night' that time and a knockout tonight, so I feel good."

But after celebrating his birthday with a UFC on FUEL TV 3 bonus check, Lawlor is now after something I little easier next time around.

UFC light heavyweights Nick Penner and Tom DeBlass will meet this summer at UFC on FUEL TV 4.

MMAjunkie.com confirmed the planned matchup, which theScore.com first reported earlier today.

UFC on FUEL TV 4 takes place July 11 at HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif. Broadcast plans for the event haven't been announced, but main-card action airs on FUEL TV, and prelims are expected to stream on Facebook.

UFC on FUEL TV 3 draws a reported 4,592 attendance for $343,175 live gate
FAIRFAX, Va. - Tuesday's "UFC on FUEL TV 3: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier" event drew a reported 4,592 attendees to Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., and generated a live gate of $343,175.

UFC officials revealed the figures at the evening's post-event press conference, which MMAjunkie.com attended.

Featuring a featherweight headliner between "The Korean Zombie," Chan Sung Jung and Dustin Poirier, UFC on FUEL TV 3 was just the company's second-ever visit to Virginia and first since January 2010's UFC on Fight Night 20 event.

UFC officials: Jason MacDonald not retiring following UFC on FUEL TV 3 loss
Jason MacDonald isn't retiring.

Despite his quick knockout loss to Tom Lawlor at Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 event, the 36-year-old Canadian middleweight isn't calling it quits.

"To set record straight ... [MacDonald] never said he's retiring," officials stated via the UFC Canada Twitter account. "Tough break last night. Hope to see him back soon."

UFC on FUEL TV 3's Pokrajac hopes to avoid future UFC cards with Jung
FAIRFAX, Va. - Chan Sung "Korean Zombie" Jung did it to Igor Pokrajac once more in the UFC.

"I hope I won't fight with Chan Sung again on the same card," Pokrajac joked Tuesday after beating light heavyweight Fabio Maldonado. "Two times, you know? Unbelievable."

Pokrajac won a decision Tuesday in a main-card slugfest with Maldonado at UFC on FUEL TV 3 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va. But he again lost a potential "Fight of the Night" award to the main-event winner.

UFC on FUEL TV 3 bonuses: Jung earns $80K while Poirier, Lawlor net $40K
FAIRFAX, Va. - Chan Sung Jung's incredible fourth-round submission win was enough to earn him $80,000 in performance bonuses at Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 event.

His opponent, Dustin Poirier, also brought home $40,000, as did main-card winner Tom Lawlor.

UFC president Dana White announced the bonus amounts following the card, which took place at Patriot Center in Fairfax, Va., and aired on FUEL TV and streamed on Facebook.

UFC on FUEL TV 3's Cerrone clamors for UFC 150 bout with Pettis
FAIRFAX, Va. - Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone has only one choice in mind for the location of his next UFC bout.

"I want to fight in Denver," Cerrone said Tuesday after beating lightweight Jeremy Stephens. "Whoever's begging at the bit to go is who I want to fight."

Cerrone earned a unanimous-decision win against Stephens on the UFC on FUEL TV 3 main card in Fairfax, Va. The result puts Cerrone back on the winning track after a decision loss to Nate Diaz in December.

Medical Beat: Meniere's disease keeps UFC boss Dana White from UFC on FUEL TV 3
UFC president Dana White is scheduled to undergo a procedure today in Los Angeles for a condition called Meniere's disease, which affects 50,000 to 100,000 people per year.

Because of the procedure - which ideally will eliminate some of the symptoms he's had for the past few months - White had to skip last night's UFC on FUEL TV 3 event in Fairfax, Va.

It's the first UFC show White couldn't attend in an 11-year span that's included 168 consecutive events under the current Zuffa LLC ownership.

FUEL TV debuts 'The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil' on June 10
The first international edition of the UFC's reality series finally has a U.S. television debut date.

"The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil," which airs each Sunday on Globo in Brazil, currently is available only online in the U.S.

However, FUEL TV will debut the show June 10 at 10 p.m. ET (7 p.m. PT), officials announced during Tuesday's UFC on FUEL TV 3 broadcast.

After UFC on FUEL TV 3 questionable calls, Alex Davis says criticism must be heard
Tuesday night's UFC on FUEL TV 3 card provided a "Fight of the Year" candidate in Chan Sung Jung vs. Dustin Poirier, but there were also a few less honorable moments on display.

From a handful of questionable judges calls to a referee's ill-timed approach at monitoring a fighter's consciousness, UFC on FUEL TV 3 did not feature flawless work from the officials in charge.

Veteran manager Alex Davis said he has seen it all before. And while generic griping has become commonplace in the MMA community, Davis believes more specific discussions are needed.

A middleweight bout between Rafael Natal and Andrew Craig is slotted for July's UFC on FUEL TV 4 event.

Natal today announced the fight via Twitter.

The long-awaited conclusion to Strikeforce's 15-month-long world heavyweight grand prix comes Saturday.

UFC on FUEL TV 3 ratings: Event draws 173,000 FUEL TV viewers
Tuesday's live broadcast of UFC on FUEL TV 3 drew 173,000 viewers.

MMAjunkie.com today confirmed the ratings information with an industry source.

The three-hour, six-fight main-card broadcast fell a bit short of the first two UFC on FUEL TV cards, but out of seven live UFC cards that have aired on the fledgling cable station, Tuesday's show ranked third.

Lineup for season-ending Bellator 70 event official, Konrad-Prindle headlines
The lineup is set for next week's Bellator 70, which concludes the organization's current sixth season.

As previously announced, the event features a championship main event between heavyweight titleholder Cole Konrad and recent tournament winner Eric Prindle.

Bellator 70 takes place next Saturday, May 25, at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans and features 10 bouts.

UFC confirms Urijah Faber's new opponent to be revealed on Friday's edition of 'TUF: Live'
Friday's 11th episode of "The Ultimate Fighter: Live" features the season's final two quarterfinal fights, but the most newsworthy moment of the night will involve one of the season's coaches.

As expected, UFC president Dana White will on Friday announce Urijah Faber's new opponent for UFC 148, where "The California Kid" and the soon-to-be-named foe will compete for the newly minted UFC interim bantamweight title.

The replacement slot was necessitated when opposing coach and current bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz was forced to bow out of the card with a blown ACL.
